Mohammad Hafeez and Umar Akmal blasted half-centuries before Shahid Afridi secured a series-levelling victory for Pakistan in the second and final Twenty20 International against South Africa at Newlands on Friday (November 22).

Akmal blasted 64 off 37 deliveries with four sixes while Hafeez slammed 63 off 41 balls with three sixes as Pakistan reached 176 for 4.

In reply, South Africa had galloped to 58 for no loss in the first seven overs before Afridi's 3 for 28 halted its progress. South Africa finished with 170 for 4 -- falling short by six runs - courtesy an unbroken stand of 53 off
A surprise bowling change brought a key wicket and was a crucial factor as South Africa beat Pakistan in a rain-affected first Twenty20 International at the Wanderers Stadium on Wednesday (November 20).

Shortly before a storm broke over the stadium, Faf du Plessis, the South African captain, called up JP Duminy to bowl his off-spinners, and Duminy caught Nasir Jamshed off his own bowling with his third delivery.

The new playing conditions for Tests, One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) came into effect with the series between Bangladesh and New Zealand, which started in Chittagong today (Wednesday 9 October).

The West Indies Women beat the White Ferns by 23 runs in the opening match of the Twenty20 Tri-Series at Kensington Oval in Barbados.

Deandra Dottin of West indies made 52 to push the home side through to 104 for six in the first innings, before teammate Anisa Mohammad claimed figures of five for 19 to dismiss the White Ferns for 81.

The visitors pursuit got off to a bad start when captain Suzie Bates was run out for eight in the third over. Three further cheap wickets had the White Ferns in more trouble at 31 for four and the required run-rate also began to become a problem. read
